A day after the mega rally at Brigade Parade Ground on 19 January a mega health camp mega health camp is all set to be organised at Nalmuri in Ghatakpukur area of South 24 Parganas district on 20 January. An army of young doctors attached with different government and private hospitals will examine basic health condition of around 3000 rural people cutting across their religious and political attachments.
All India Naba Chetana, a social welfare and charitable organisation comprising serving and retired bureaucrats and IPS officers, academicians, writers, doctors and many others sensible souls in the society, is moving ahead to extend its tireless activities for socioeconomic betterment among minorities and other backward classes in the state.
“With the beginning of the New Year Naba Chetana has decided to organise a health check up camp at Nalmuri in Ghatakpukur area of South 24 Parganas district on 20 January,” said Mr Faruque Ahamed, convener and General secretary Secretary of the organisation.
“Renowned doctors Khwaja Alim Ahmed, Rejaul Karim, Parvez Ahmed Khan, Amanul Haque will attend the health camp to check blood pressure, blood sugar level and heart condition through ECG of these poor and poor middle class people,” Ahamed said.
“We have already held several camps in different parts of the state to make people mainly belonging to minorities and other poorer sections like OBC, SC/ST, Dalits aware of good health, modern and scientific education. Apart from the health camp, we will also organise awareness campaign against the child marriage in our programme at Nalmuri,” said Mr Ahamed.
“At this stage of religious intolerance sweeping across the country All India Naba Chetana is determined to educate the people about secular democratic fabric of our nation through these awareness programme with the help of retired and serving bureaucrats, IPS office
offers like Dr Humayun Kabir, deputy inspector general of police (traffic), doctors and academicians,” he added.
