Two Research Scholars of Kalyani University Awarded by West Bengal Science and Technology Congress 2018

25th West Bengal Science and Technology Congress have been organized by the Department of Higher Education, Science and Technology and Biotechnology of the Government of West Bengal in the Science city auditorium on 4th and 5th March, 2018. In initial stage of the Congress three regional congresses have been organized in Siliguri College for Northern region, Burdwan University for Western region, and Kalyani University for Southern region.
Around 1200 scientific papers have been selected in 12 different disciplines of Science for presentation. But only 154 papers have been nominated for outstanding paper category. These papers were presented by researchers on 4th and 5th March in Science city auditorium. 3 papers each from 12 disciplines have been selected as best papers. The researchers were awarded by Department of Higher Education, Science and Technology and Biotechnology of the Government of West Bengal.
The papers of Mrs. Mukti Mondal and Miss Sanghamitra Pal ( two DST-INSPIRE Fellow, Govt. of India), working in the Molecular Neurotoxicology Laboratory, department of Physiology, University of Kalyani under the supervision of Professor Goutam Paul, have been selected as outstanding papers in physiology discipline. Accordingly Mrs. Mukti Mondal and Miss Sanghamitra Pal received a memento, certificate and 3000 rupees cash prize.
