Azadi Ka Amrit Mahoutsav

There is a famous saying and it goes like this when couple of Bengali get together for a cause it will be a success or failure but when ever it is for a Durga Puja that will be a sure success. In case of Oslo Probasee Bengali association this myth is again proved to be true.

With an intention to create a Global platform in the land of midnight sun, Oslo Probasee Bangali (https://www.facebook.com/osloprobaseebangalioslo/) organized their first cultural event – one of the most popular festivals of India The Durga Puja www.oslodurgotsav.com  between 29th September to 1st October.

In this Durgotsav, the key focus of our team was to converge all community and religion through exhibition of arts, culinary delights and rituals. We also organized “Dandiya Raas” to celebrate Navratri along with “Durga Puja” which enabled us to entertain the North Indian community. Hence, the event was a true Indian cultural fest.

We had participation from all Indian communities and along with a few Norwegians and people of other European communities .It was a colorful event and the “Oslo Probasee Bangali” team firmly believes that Oslo Durgotsav managed to achieve our intention of utilizing the warmth and reach of this festival to celebrate humanity.

This was the first such endeavor from Oslo Probasee Bangali ( an organization formed only a couple of months back by a few like-minded friends currently settled in Oslo). We have learnt from all our experiences gathered from this effort and are looking forward to organize many more such events in future in an even better way with more passion and grandeur. We have a core vision of integrating the entire Indian community in Oslo by conducting many more Indian cultural events and also intend to be the flag-bearers of Indian culture in Norway.
The next event in pipeline to be organized by us is Kojagori Laxmi Puja then Diwali for which the planning has already begun.
Look for social updates from Oslo on this.
