Dr. Palash Bandyopadhyay

Doctor Palash Bandopadhyay, a renowned child specialist, made it a motto to serve society as a doctor and to serve humanity as a poet, novelist, and a refined representative of Indian cultural aura.

As a recognition of his tireless effort towards society and culture, Bharatiya Dalit Sahitya Akademi nominated him as the recipient of the Doctor Ambedkar Sewashree National Award 2021 for Social Work and Literature. A cultural body of India founded by late Deputy Prime Minister Babu Jagjeevan Ram of India. Next week, he will receive the award in New Delhi.

Earlier, this year, he received the IBG NEWS Golden Heart Award for Literature at Kolkata Press Club along with other eminent recipients like Legendary Magician P. C. SARKAR Junior, Sambaran Banerjee Ex-National Selector BCCI, etc.

Let’s feel one of the poetry from his latest due for publication book “Thoughts of the Moment” to be published soon in and around New Year.2022. Doctor Palash Bandopadhyay shared this poem only for IBG News Viewers.

The name of the Poem is “Let’s all be well” the 23rd number poem in the book full of poetry.

All right! You are getting clap while throwing your fist towards the sky from a high platform and avow the change for the world!
But I have a question.
Is that clap, for a friend? Or,
The clappers think of you as God?

Between your songs on television,
You are a down-to-earth person.
And your interview with the anchor is worth being respected.
But I have a question.
Do you sing any song at the junction of a street in front of common people like Tom, Dick, Harry in the same casual way as you act?

You are a very good writer.
It has a flavour of paddy fields.
It has got taste like that of date tree juice.
It has madness of dry earth wetted with rainwater.
You have caught life with your pen.
But I have a question.
Would you be able to think of that life perception while having tea in an ordinary tea stall under dim non electric illumination?

You are a tremendous actor with great feeling and emotions.
Your acting has got chest piercing pain.
But I have a question.
While you are under searchlight of a team of journalists with their questions at a sophisticated green room after the show is over,
Are you then also the same person as you are in your character in drama?

Your paintbrush speaks with color.
Your canvases with painting are sold at a high price to international painting lover.
But I have a question.
If ‘those’ paintings awake, which are dying every now and then in darkness under your ‘proud painted entity’
Would your paintbrush be able to support those paintings, too?

You are a world-famous motivational speaker.
Your speech motivates those persons who have no problem but created one.
With the help of their fees, you motivate yourself more and more.
But I have a question.
Those who are not able to motivate themselves for their livelihood and walking in the path of life,
Would you be able to arrange a session for them too?

Your spiritualism off and on shows the dream of the transformation of mankind.
With your state of satisfaction and title of being greatest, you happily go to sleep at your costly cot.
But I have a question.
Are you acceptable equally to them in the same way who are unable to purchase you and transform their lifestyle?

I am not at all interested in crossing and questioning you in such a manner but compelled to.
Do you know why?
Because I am some time fade up with myself, while do think,
Being a common person with other than all common activities, like,
Stepping up into the auto rickshaw,
Enjoying street food,
Chatting with other common people,
Quarreling with fiance,
Picking nose,
What else I have done in life?

Then , with an inwardly smile
I ponder about our lives,
Which actually are the
Rhythms of transposition.

It’s not just a vision of literature,
It’s a genuine character of
Black and white night and day.

To handle oneself through the
Ups and downs of path of life,
Why should they be gratified
To see your identity?

You be as you are,
We are as ourselves.
Let’s come to an agreement,
You and me ought not to
Overburden ourselves.

Again, a kind request,
From now onwards,
Don’t make your life a sordid one
When you see us living a standard life.

A life explained with the deep emotional vacuum created by our ignorance of society is really a thing for concern, and Doctor Palash Bandopadhyay explained what we are missing and what should have been our approach to society.

We thank Doctor Palash Bandopadhyay for sharing one gem from his book before publication with our readers and viewers. We wish his book a much-needed appreciation from society. Hope he will continue to write for the people’s cause and enlighten us with a deep philosophical inner console.
