Unveiling of the Monginis ASOS T20 SuperBash League – 2021

January 2021 Kolkata: Aditya School of Sports puts West Bengal firmly on the national cricket map, not only as the breeding ground of top level cricket teams and players, but also as a super-tournament host. On Monday January 4, the group unveiled the Monginis ASOS T20 SuperBash League – 2021 tournament that brings eight cricket teams building up to one of the Bengal’s most anticipated sporting events of this year in the presence of Debjit Ghosh, Former Indian Football Captain, Abdul Monayem – Head Coach – Cricket, Aditya School Of Sports, Anirban Aditya, Chairman, Aditya Group, Ankit Aditya, Vice Chairman, Aditya Group, Roshni Aditya – Managing Director – Aditya Group,  Prasenjit Saha – Director – Monginis. The event took place at One Bottle Down, Camac Street.

This is an initiative of Aditya School of Sports, the T20’s draw is its unique format; 25 match days, 40 overs, 240 minutes of fast paced ‘cricketainment’ – a short, high energy format loved by global audiences and international cricket stars alike. There is no denying that these teams are a gold mine of genuine talent and if provided the right platform and opportunity they shall excel and not only make Bengal proud but also India.

The eight teams and captains are CBC – Karim, United – Arpit, Young club – Vicky, Sunflower – Amir, Phoenix – Amris, Seven eleven – Rahil, Thrilling – Sunny, BAF – Ankit Aditya. The Monginis ASOS T20 SuperBash League – 2021 is supported byAccolade,Siti Cable, High News, Ruby Hospital, Fast N Up, Sat Link, Fever FM and Sampark.  

The unveiling witnessed the All Team Jerseys’ Reveal, Tournament Trophy Reveal, Team & Captain’s introduction to the press and each other, Rules and Regulations of the Match and Women’s Times and Monginis – Calendar Reveal.

The matches will be played on 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 23, 24, 30 and 31st January at ASOS Diego Maradona Cricket Stadium, Barasat. There will be a celebrity match on the last day with well known artists from Tollywood joining the fray.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Anirban Aditya, chairman, Aditya Group said: “ASOS is delighted to bring to Kolkata the first edition of Monginis ASOS T20 Super Bash. It is indeed a matter of great pride for all of us that this tournament will be the first-ever event to be held at Diego Maradona ASOS Cricket Stadium, ASOS Arena, Barasat, after we renamed the stadium. This is also big because eight of the top team will participate in this event.”

Aditya School of Sports popularly known as ASOS has been diligently working towards the cause of developing Sports in Bengal since last 3 years. In this short period of existence we have already created a deep impact in Cricket and Football. While we have partnered ATK Mohun Bagan to run the grassroot academies of under 13, under 15 and under 18 covering over 90 kids, we have also gone into an agreement with Cricket Association of Bengal for 15 years wherein they shall take care of the running and maintenance of Bengal’s first Cricket Stadium built by us, recently named after the legend- Diego Maradona ASOS Cricket Stadium. Our sprawling 30acre campus at Barasat now hosts a CBSE affiliated co-ed school, an international size cricket and football ground. The Cricket stadium is now also approved by BCCI to host top level matches and the football ground has already hosted I-League U15 matches and is all set to host the upcoming IFA Shield matches too. ASOS is also the first and only accredited Khelo India football academy. Along with this ASOS have recently partnered with NBA Basketball School, India; La-Liga Football Academy, India.

Our Cricket Academy students in this short span of time have won multiple Tournaments and our students are playing in top 1st & 2nd Division clubs. Some have also made it to the Bengal team under different age levels.
