GIMA AWARDEE PT PRODYUT MUKHERJEE & TRUMPET KING KISHORE SODHA TEAMED UP ON A SPECIAL MUSIC PIECE ABOUT WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY CELEBRATION
Pt Prodyut Mukherjee an ace percussionist, prestigious GIMA awardee teamed up with noted trumpet player, one of R.D.Burman’s original musicians Kishore Sodha on a special music piece ” Sound of The Nature” to celebrate the world environment day. Both the musicians recorded it from home during the current senario of Corona pandemic.5th June the day is also Pt Mukherjee’s birthday. The groovy track features trumpet played & melody composed by Kishore Sodha, mouth percussion, tabla played & music direction by Pt Prodyut Mukherjee, while Kunal Roy played the bass guitar. The whole musical has been conceptualized by Sudipta Chanda.
Nature has it’s own sound.Be it the bird’s chirping, river’s murmur all sound come from nature. Natural sounds help in meditation too. In this Corona pandemic time we all need to take care of our mental health and this musical piece has a soulful touch. Pt Mukherjee says,” As this pandemic is responsible for a financial disaster throughout the world, on the other hand it has been proved as a boon for nature.It reduces pollution.So we must think about the mother earth too.” Kishore Sodha says, ” It’s a nice experience to work on such a nice musical with Pt Prodyut Mukherjee to celebrate the world environment day.Eventually the day also marks Pt Mukherjee’s birthday. The piece sounds soothing and hope you all would like it.”
