Media should take the truth into the society with courage and enthusiasm: Vice President 

Media should dedicate itself to a new TRP philosophy of promotion of Truth in a Responsible and Professional manner; Addresses 3rd Convocation of Makhanlal Chaturvedi Rashtriya Patrakarita Avam Sanchar Vishwavidyalay 

The Vice President of India, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu has said that Media should take the truth into the society with courage and enthusiasm. He was addressing 3rd Convocation of Makhanlal Chaturvedi Rashtriya Patrakarita Avam Sanchar Vishwavidyalay, in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh today. The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.

The Vice President said that the university named after Pandit Makhanlal Chaturvedi is a great inspiration for everyone and the great man who taught journalism on high ideals and used the word ‘weapon of political freedom to get political and economic freedom’.

The Vice President said that Media should dedicate itself to a new TRP philosophy of promotion of Truth in a Responsible and Professional manner. He further said that the need of the hour is to highlight the negative forces of society. These forces weaken the country’s integrity and unity and also damage the development of the country, he added.

The Vice President said that keeping the right picture of the society by the media is very important and Media is now awakening in the direction of women’s rights. Media should strive to make the priorities of maintaining dignity of women and protect the rights of women.
