“SPRING -THE COLOURS OF LIFE ”  at Satyajit Roy Auditorium , ICCR .

I was sure I will be in the front row of the guest seat as Rajlakshmi invited me personally and requested “you must come Dada along with boudi” it was more than a mere invitation for a program but an appeal from the loving sister. But I was not able to make it due to bad health yet I was there thanks to video call and even closure than the front row. My pains were gone before the event was over and that is the power of that musical journey of the duo.

This program was about an exclusive piano recital  comprising of stories and colours of life inspired by the onset of Spring along with narration , songs , dance. It was supported by the Indo American Chamber of Commerce  and Indian Council for Cultural Relations  in this event .

This cultural evening comprises of an exclusive Piano recital by Ms. Rajlakshmi Syam and Arundhati Ghosh ,    and narration by Ms. Shubha Pal   along with  live dance performances . The  songs were presented  by the Joint Police Commissioner of Kolkata Police Mr. Sujoy Chanda  and Guillaume Djone from US  consulate.

This program comprised of an eclectic fusion of the different areas of  art and music , wherein the underlying essence lies  in the concept ‘ EAST MEETS WEST “ . The musical journey had an audio visual presentation revolving around the theme “ Spring – the Colours of Life .

Rajlakshmi said, “Through This kind of cultural exchange program , we look forward to promote not just our music  but also share our traditions , culture , and values  on the international platform.”

Rajlakshmi played tunes on the piano like Tagore songs Ore Grihobasi, Salil Chowdhury’s Dhitang Dhitang Bole, Hindi Bollywood retro numbers like Beqarar Karke Hame, Phoolon Ke Rang Se are worth a mention.

The evening was a real enchanting one with many moments to make and feel nostalgic but above all the flavor of youth which is nothing but Spring and colors all around with symphonies that Indian in soul yet global in proclamation.
