Bengal Chief Minister to inaugurate JSW cement plant at Salboni today
The cement factory of the JSW Group at Salboni is going to be inaugurated today by Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. The opening of the factory will create employment for hundreds of people.
It may be mentioned that the Chief Minister had inaugurated the commencement of construction of the 2.4 metric tonne capacity cement factory at Salboni in West Midnapore on January 6 in 2016. The cement factory has come up on a 134-acre land at a cost of Rs 800 crore.
This is going to be a landmark event ahead of the Bengal Global Business Summit that is scheduled to be held on January 16 and 17.
It may be recalled that during the inauguration of the commencement of construction of the cement plant, the JSW Group had also announced its plans to invest around Rs 10,000 crore to set up a power plant and a paint manufacturing factory at Salboni where the group has acquired around 4,000 acres of land.
