Aditya Agarwal promoting the game of skill in India

Kolkata, 19 December 2017: An interactive session with Aditya Agarwal was organized in Kolkata. Aditya Agarwal was selected to represent his home country by PokerStars as the first-ever Indian Team Pro. He is helping to establish the game as a professional sport and game of skill across the country. With a population of about 1.2 billion, India is the second-most populous country in the world. The size of the mobile and online games industry in India is Rs. 900-1,200 crore and it is growing at 60-70 per cent.

Aditya Agarwal said, “Poker has maintained its popularity because it has evolved with the times. PokerStars continues this evolution by providing a modern twist on traditional game that we believe will be exciting to not only selected players, but to a broad spectrum of gamers as well.” He added, “As a player I want to help promote the game in India, and inspire more players to play and enjoy the sport.”

Any Games like online games must be played with responsibility and it should not be a addiction to destroy your personal and professional life. Games should help you to relax and enhance you skills.

Highlights include wins in the notoriously tough $100 Rebuy tourney, plus several other high-profile results. He’s also performed well in live tournaments, cashing in the World Series Main Event several times, including top 100 finishes in 2008 and 2015. Other results include a deep run at EPT Barcelona in 2007 for $34,313, plus numerous wins and final table appearances in events across India. He has stated how he wants to use his role as ambassador as a way of promoting it in India, helping to establish the game as a professional sport across the country, and to inspire the next generation of players.
