Bengal’s Republic Day tableau to highlight Sharod Utsav
Bengal government’s theme for the tableau to be shown in the Republic Day Parade in New Delhi this year is Sharod Utsav. The theme has been taken up to showcase how people from all communities in Bengal participate and rejoice during the biggest festival of the state, Durga Puja.
There will be an idol of Goddesses Durga at one end of the tableau and artists from different areas starting from the hills to Sunderbans will be performing their traditional forms of dances to symbolise how each and everyone in the state turns to be the part of sharod utsav.
Thirty artists from different parts of the state have already gone to Delhi and their rehearsal for the performance on Republic Day is going on in full swing.
More importantly, all the artists, who will be performing in the parade, are receiving the financial assistance of the state government under Lok Prashar Scheme. The state government provides financial assistance to 80,000 folk artists in the state that helped to revive many art forms which would have gone extinct.
Women dhakis mainly from North 24-Parganas will be playing dhaks on the tableau. The rhythmic beat of dhaks is an integral part of Durga Puja.
Traditional dancers from Darjeeling and folk dancers from Midnapore will also be performing on the tableau. A section of the total 30 artists will be performing on the tableau while the rest will be performing on the road through which the parade will pass.
Bengal was awarded twice earlier for the being the best tableau in the Republic Day Parade. In 2014, the tableau that was based on the Chhau Dance of the state had won the prize and again in 2015, the state’s tableau was awarded the first prize. In 2015, too, folk artists who took part in the parade were part of the Lok Prashar Scheme and the project was also showcased. Last year, the concept of the tableau was bauls of Bengal.
দিল্লির প্রজাতন্ত্র দিবস কুচকাওয়াজে বাংলার থিম শারদ উ९সব
এবছর দিল্লির প্রজাতন্ত্র দিবসের প্যারেডে পশ্চিমবঙ্গের থিম শারদ উ९সব। দুর্গা পুজোয় সব সম্প্রদায়ের মানুষ অংশগ্রহণ করে তাই এবছর এই উ९সবকে থিম করা হয়েছে।
ট্যাবলোর শেষে থাকবে একটি দুর্গা প্রতিমা আর সামনে পারফর্ম করবেন বাংলার লোকশিল্পীরা। প্রজাতন্ত্র দিবসে পারফরম্যান্সের প্রস্তুতির জন্য রাজ্যের বিভিন্ন অংশে থেকে ৩০ জন শিল্পীদের একটি দল ইতিমধ্যেই দিল্লি চলে গেছে।
যেসকল লোকশিল্পীরা প্যারেডে অংশগ্রহণ করবেন তারা রাজ্য সরকারের লোকপ্রসার প্রকল্পের আওতায় আর্থিক সহায়তা পান। এই প্রকল্পের আওতায় রাজ্য সরকার প্রায় ৮০০০০ হাজার শিল্পীকে আর্থিক সহায়তা প্রদানের পাশাপাশি তাদের সরকারি অনুষ্ঠানে পারফর্ম করার সুযোগও করে দেন।
এই ট্যাবলোতে উত্তর ২৪ পরগনা জেলার মহিলা ঢাকিরা অংশগ্রহণ করবেন। দার্জিলিঙ ও পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুর সহ বিভিন্ন জেলার লোক শিল্পীরাও এখানে অংশগ্রহণ করবেন। ৩০ জন লোকশিল্পী অংশগ্রহণ করবেন এই ট্যাবলোতে।
এর আগে গত দুবার ২০১৪ ও ২০১৫ সালে প্রজাতন্ত্র দিবসে বাংলার ট্যাবলো পুরস্কার পেয়েছে। ২০১৪ সালে বাংলার থিম হয়েছিল ছৌ নাচ। ২০১৫ সালে বাংলার ট্যাবলো প্রথম পুরস্কার পেয়েছিল, থিম ছিল ‘বাংলার বাউল’। গতবারও লোকপ্রসার প্রকল্পের অন্তর্গত শিল্পীরা এই কুচকাওয়াজে অংশগ্রহণ করেছিল।
