In a major natural disaster at least 30 plus people has been killed and eight others injured as lightning fall on them in the Bangladesh capital Dhaka along with nine other districts across the country last evening.
District level report reveals that victims are from all across while eight died in Pabna, five each in Sirajganj and Rajshahi, four in Kishoreganj, two each in the capital Dhaka, Gazipur, Bogra and Natore region, and one each in Narsingdi and Nilphamari district.
Two unfortunate students were killed while they were playing football in Jatrabari’s Konapara area in Dhaka when lightning strike .
Two students were Sahed Sohagh, 21, a computer science student at Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology, and Noman Hasan Lincoln, 21, a computer engineering student at Mohakhali Polytechnic Institute, died on the spot.
Eight people, including two school students, got killed by thunderbolts in Sujanagar, Chatmahar and Faridpur upazilas of Pabna district.
Five people, including a woman and a child, were killed in Ullapara and Raiganj upazilas of Sirajganj.
This kind of thunderbolt are quite normal during May Mid specially afternoon and evening. Authorities are trying to find the root cause behind such natural disaster.
